Wrap it up

October 10, 2014

It's time to start talking about getting ready for Christmas, making your lists and preparing.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE gift wrapping! In fact the first thing I do every year is plan my 'theme'. I don't advocate spending a fortune and sometimes having a 'budget' christmas doesn't mean a boring one! Just a creative one! So get browsing on Pinterest for some gorgeous creations, we did.

Talking of budget Christmases, these can be a total blessing in disguise. A few years back everyone one got a 'homemade' present and I loved it so much I still do the odd homemade 'food' present for a particularly tricky guest, like my dad or a few extras in case someone pops in at the last minute. Nobody ever goes without!

For food gift wrapping you can't beat cellophane & ribbon. One roll of cellophane can do up to 20 gifts, not bad for £3.00 a roll. Check out Paperchase, click here

You can go a bit crazy on ribbon, personally I love nothing more than a grossgrain ribbon for that vintage homemade look! Click here

If you buy your family and friends more than one gift, just make one of those gifts extra special, and then tone down the second but keeping the same theme. Personally, I think you really can not beat kraft paper. Paperchase do such great sets to accessorise your gifts, ribbons, bows, snowflakes, pegs, check these out here

If you are planning lots of small secret santa type gifts, or you want to try something different from a stocking, we love the personalised paper bag look. It's all in the accessories, so pick a theme that means something to you, if you need some inspiration, look here

If you want to go full on glamour then you need to be layering your papers with cellophane, layering your ribbons with wide and narrow ribbons and finish off with an accessory and then your label! There's tons of inspiration here

Just remember 1. your colour theme & 2. your budget! But to help you along here's a special offer at Paperchase 3 For 2 on selected Christmas Wrap Click here

Happy shopping!

We'll be back soon with some gift wrapping tutorials, in the meantime if you need some gift inspiration, we'll be updating this section every week! Check it out
