It's STILL January!!! It's STILL January!!! When will it ever end!


If you are trying to cut back or save or just tighten the purse strings, here is a simple thing I swear by, it sounds odd but trust me, during lean periods I always fall back on this, even years later!

Just add one extra ingredient!


Add flaked almonds to your crumble topping. Almonds and pears are a match made in heaven!!


Add a dash of DiSaronno or a glass of left over champagne to the pears, and there you have a very special pear crumble!

Caramel, Caramel, Caramel!!!


Making a caramel sauces seems a little daunting, melted sugar that is volcanic hot, what could go wrong!


This is one of the few no recipe recipes I use!


So take a heavy bottomed small saucepan, generously cover the bottom with caster sugar....

It's been nearly 4 years since we moved to France and I must say the biggest difference in our cooking habits is we rarely ever eat a ready-meal.


This is great recipe for a super quick tv dinner or if you are having friends round after work and you're pressed for time.
